iCANTU Network, Inc.
had its beginnings in California in 1983 when founder Leonard Cantu
wrote a database program for a client while still in college. That
client remains with iCANTU Network today. Since its early beginnings,
the company has continued to evolve with the changing technologies
of the times.
1984 – Mr.
Cantu became involved in a consulting partnership to help bring
Chuck
E. Cheese out of bankruptcy. During that year, the guiding philosophy
of the company was born, “do more with less.” iCANTU
Network believes this can be achieved by integrating the latest
technologies as they become affordable.
1988 – iCANTU
Network was an early adopter of PC-to-PC videoconferencing with
their involvement with Teleview, a phone company that was one of
the first ISPs in the San Francisco area. The idea was before it’s
time, and the company survived through a series of mergers, eventually
being bought out by Verio.
iCANTU Network continues to stay abreast of technological developments
and is often among the first of its peers to recognize emerging
technological trends.
1993 – iCANTU
Network formed a partnership with NCR.
NCR produced ATM machines and partnered with iCANTU Network as the
systems integrator of their ATM networks for small banks and credit
unions.
1995 – The
work with NCR led to recognition by AMS
Services, Inc., a software developer for the insurance industry.
AMS formed a partnership with iCANTU to install and manage their
proprietary software for insurance agencies. The software handles
accounting, marketing and other agency functions. iCANTU is a preferred
vendor for AMS.
1999 – iCANTU
Network formed their first relationship with Dell,
Inc. Today that relationship has evolved into being a preferred
provider for Dell customers offering technical support services
through Total Care and other iCANTU services.
2000 – Through
iVenue,
iCANTU became involved in developing rapid website deployment technology
offering customizable website templates.
2004 – The
partnership with docSTAR
was formalized capitalizing on a relationship that began in the
1980s. Through docSTAR, iCANTU Network began offering document management
services furthering their philosophy of doing more with less. Through
document management services, productivity is increased, and paper
trails become manageable.
2006 – iCANTU
Network, Inc. adds a third corporate office in Kyle, Texas, outside
the capital of Austin.
